While searching for the very best dog-friendly restaurants in Venice, California, I came across a handful that stood out from the rest. Their unique combination of ambiance, irresistible food, easy-going atmosphere, and animal-loving hearts make them far more than just simply dining, it is a complete experience.
Simmzy’s
Aside from being popular and puppy-friendly, Simmzy’s is also known for its extensive beer collection with 26 on tap (and that’s not including the various brands of canned and bottled beer offered). It is reasonably priced with a trendy, yet chill atmosphere. It would be a great place for your next Super Bowl party! And don’t forget to try the famous Oak Charred Simmzy’s Burger, it is absolutely drool-worthy.
The Butcher’s Daughter
Conveniently located right off of Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice, this plant-based eatery has incredible recipes that have been passed down through the generations and is as much known for its juice bar as it is for its delicious vegetarian cuisine. All of their recipes, including the liquid ones, are made with fresh produce sourced from local and organic farms. Setting quite the example by supporting sustainability within the community.
Tocaya – Venice
This ‘modern Mexican’ restaurant, as they proudly (and aptly!) describe themselves, welcomes both humans and fur balls alike with open arms, thanks to their comfortable outdoor seating. Their delicious cuisine is made using only the freshest, most natural ingredients available. Promoting better, healthier eating, they offer a variety of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free friendly options as well.
Yours Truly (Venice Location)
Also situated along Abbot Kinney Boulevard, this particular dog-friendly (dogs welcome on the patio only) restaurant offers an extensive selection of Californian-style fare with a little bit of middle eastern flavor thrown in. The laid-back terrace is perfect for kicking back and enjoying tasty food with your favorite furball.
Wallflower
If you are looking for something a little bit different in your pet-friendly eatery, the Wallflower not only provides a pet-friendly, fire-place-heated patio and but also has some of the most deliciously unique South Asian dishes that are expertly crafted using regional flavors carried over from their Indonesian roots.
Clutch (Venice Location)
One of the best BBQ places on this side of the Pacific, the Venice location of Clutch is located directly on Lincoln Boulevard. They cater to man, and man’s best friend alike on their dog-friendly patio and have a large menu with a variety of delicious BBQ delicacies. Great food provided by great people. Come for the beer, stay for the BBQ.
Neighbor
Neighbors’ stunningly beautiful outdoor dining area provides the ideal backdrop to enjoy their perfectly plated, flavorful and eclectic menu. The prices are a bit higher than some on our list, but in return, they offer fine dining with your canine companion, which is truly priceless.
There is really nothing more ‘Californian’ than indulging in some quality grub with your precious pooch. These restaurants not only allow a furry tag along, they actually encourage it. Be sure to make your Venice trip complete by visiting one, or all, of these woof-tastic, pet-friendly restaurants.
